Industrial wheels for light applications
Quiet, strong and floor-friendly
For furniture, trolleys, equipment, or displays that need to roll smoothly in dry or slightly damp environments, light-duty industrial castors are a smart choice. These wheels reduce noise, absorb vibrations, and most importantly, leave no marks behind. In this blog, we’ll explain the different types of industrial castors and what to consider when choosing the right one.
What are industrial wheels for light-duty applications?
Light-duty industrial castors are designed for loads up to 250 daN and feature low rolling resistance (under 125 daN). They are suitable for manual movement and can withstand temperatures from -20°C to 80°C. Thanks to their rubber or thermoplastic rubber tread, they’re non-marking and provide good shock absorption on uneven surfaces and small obstacles.
Overview of out light-duty wheels
Serie 22: Polypropylene wheel with grey rubber type
- Material: Polypropylene + non-marking grey rubber
- Diameter: 80 - 200 mm
- Load capacity: 65 - 225 daN
- Speed: Up to 4 km/h

These quiet, vibration-absorbing castors are suitable for slightly damp environments and resistant to mild acids. The rubber tread makes them perfect for sensitive floors like wood, tiles, or vinyl. Optional stainless-steel fork available.

Serie 23: Zinc-plated steel with grey rubber tire
- Material: Polypropylene + non-marking grey rubber
- Diameter: 80 - 200 mm
- Load capacity: 65 - 230 daN
- Speed: Up to 4 km/h

Like Series 22, this series reduces noise and is ideal for smooth floors. The key difference is the steel fork. Commonly chosen for use in dry environments with moderate movement. Not suitable for prolonged static loads.

Serie 52: Polypropylene + black rubber tire
- Material: Polypropylene + solid black rubber tire
- Diameter: 80 - 250 mm
- Load capacity: 65 - 300 daN
- Speed: Up to 4 km/h

This series handles small obstacles and offers shock absorption. The black rubber is wear-resistant but may leave marks on delicate surfaces. Not suited for prolonged static load. Optional hub protection available.

Serie 53: Heavy steel with black rubber tire
- Material: Zinc-plated sheet steel + solid black rubber tire
- Diameter: 80 - 280 mm
- Load capacity: 65 - 390 daN
- Speed: Up to 4 km/h

Surprisingly quiet thanks to its low-noise construction. The wheel features a double-riveted steel core and is built to withstand impacts. Less suitable for use on visually sensitive floors.

Serie 71: Heavy steel with black rubber tire
- Material: For delicate floors
- Diameter: 80 - 200 mm
- Load capacity: 70 - 225 daN
- Speed: Up to 4 km/h

Specifically developed for delicate surfaces like ceramic tiles, parquet, or vinyl. The low rolling resistance means less effort is needed to move furniture or trolleys. Available with or without a brake, with hub protection.
